Question of the Week – December 20

Mary is an example to us all as we face uncertain futures, or problems that seem bigger than our ability to cope. Mary is able to hear God’s call to her above the noise which so easily could have drowned it out. We all have to try and ensure that we give space for God’s voice to be heard in our own lives. The noise of the season can be overbearing – the rush to buy and wrap gifts, to get cards in the mail, to decorate and bake – all of this “noise” can easily cause us to not hear God when He is calling us. Take some time this last week of Advent to be still and listen.

Adults: How can you block out time this week to listen for God’s voice?

Children: When can you sit still this week to listen for God to speak to you in prayer?
